Does Apragya run payroll end-to-end, or just prep the data?
Pro plan runs payroll end-to-end: calculates gross, variable pay, statutory deductions, TDS, net salary, generates payslips, and gives you a bank-transfer file (NEFT/RTGS format for ICICI, HDFC, Axis, SBI, Kotak). If you prefer to run payroll on Zoho / Razorpay / Darwinbox, we export the same data in their format.
Can I migrate from GreytHR / Keka / Zoho People?
Yes. We handle the migration during onboarding - employee master, leave balances, loan ledgers, salary structures, historic payslips. Takes 2-5 business days depending on volume. Free for teams up to 500 employees.
Which biometric devices does the attendance sync support?
ESSL K30, K40, X990, X992, TA7210 Pro, Biomax N-K31. For other brands, we support manual CSV import or custom adapter (included free on Pro). Hybrid-mode employees can use the mobile app with geo-fence as a secondary check-in.
What AI powers Vippy? Can my employees' questions leak outside?
Vippy runs on Anthropic's Claude. For employee WhatsApp Q&A, Vippy only reads what's in your tenant's data - leave balances, policy docs, attendance history. No conversation data is used to train any model. Enterprise customers get in-region processing with a signed DPA.
How does WhatsApp self-service work?
Your company gets a dedicated WhatsApp Business number (we help you register with Meta - 2-3 business days). Employees add it, authenticate once, then message "leave balance" or "when's payday" or "apply CL for 2 Nov" and Vippy handles it. Manager approvals come as WhatsApp interactive buttons.
What if I need to add a custom salary component or a weird leave policy?
Everything is tenant-configurable. Add a "Diwali bonus" component, create a "Sabbatical" leave type, build a 4-level approval chain for L5+ employees - all through admin settings, no developer needed. If you can describe it to Vippy, he can usually build it.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Export everything as Excel + CSV + PDF anytime, no questions. If you cancel, your data stays recoverable for 90 days, then permanently deleted (per DPDP Act). We're happy to assist a migration to another HRMS.
